On October 9, 2024 at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Paris, CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales organized the Rencontres Innov’SHS.

The event closed with the presentation of a new prize, the Humanities and Social Sciences Innovation Prize, supported by the CNRS Foundation.

A 5-member jury evaluated a selection of 50 projects, focusing on their impact on society, their originality and their potential interdisciplinary dimension. The jury was unable to decide between the three winners, but they were rewarded:

  • Eric Lambert for his DysApp project,

DysApp is developing a serious game on a tactile tablet to help teachers assess motor coordination disorders in their young pupils. The game also enables students to develop their motor skills in relation to the acquisition of written language.

  • Alda Mari for her Intact project

Intact is a social network monitoring tool designed to detect emergencies in the event of an ecological crisis and provide the necessary information to decision-makers and players in the field.

  • Salma Mesmoudi for her ODLab project.

ODLab is a software system for sharing servers and expertise in neuroimaging and brain pathologies, open to researchers and clinicians alike, with the ambition of becoming a reference base for “clinical decision support systems”.

The winners were presented with their prizes by Marie Gaille, Director of CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales and Michel Mortier, Director General of the CNRS Foundation.
