CNRS Foundation

For ambitious and free research

A foundation at the heart of major environmental and social issues

CNRS Foundation

On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the CNRS created the CNRS Foundation to support and develop free, ambitious, long-term research at the highest level.

A foundation serving CNRS laboratories and researchers, it is a vehicle for corporate and individual sponsorship of research in France and abroad.

The CNRS

France's only multi-disciplinary research organization, a key player in international research and a recognized innovator, combines excellence, freedom of research, transdisciplinarity and commercialization of results.

The wealth of the CNRS lies in its staff and their unique ability to push back the frontiers of knowledge in all fields.

Support us

Patronage, donations and bequests contribute to flexible, responsive funding that keeps pace with the pace of research, so that it continues to progress.

Our actions

1 Talents & Awards

The CNRS Foundation develops a policy of scientific prizes and scholarships. Supporting, rewarding and showcasing talent are three of the ambitions of the CNRS Foundation.

2 Funding for research projects

The funding of ambitious, free research is reflected in the direct support of numerous research projects, their financing and, in some cases, the hiring of project staff.

3 Creation of foundations under aegis

If you are a patron of the arts, or a researcher, and would like to set up a Foundation under the aegis of the CNRS Foundation on a theme close to your heart, we can help.

4 Chair assembly

In addition to classic research, with shared objectives and costs, and partnership research with companies, we can offer you the support of research chairs, on a national or international scale.
