The CNRS Foundation is pleased to announce that the jury of the Suzanne Bella Srodogora Prize has decided to select two ex aequo winners for the second edition of the prize, for their technical and administrative commitment to research teams:
Sophie Hontebeyrie, CNRS – Centre national de la recherche scientifique, administrative and financial manager at the Laboratoire de mathématiques et de leurs applications in Pau and Hélène Marec, assistant engineer at the University of Nantes in scientific instrumentation at the GEPEA, Génie des Procédés, Environnement et Agroalimentaire laboratory in Saint Nazaire.
The award was presented to Sophie Hontebeyrie by Selection Committee Chairman Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, Treasurer of the Foundation, at a ceremony on December 1, 2023 in Pau, and to Hélène Marec at a ceremony on October 4, 2023 in Saint-Nazaire.
The prize was created by the CNRS Foundation in memory of Suzanne Bella Srodogora, the first woman to win a CNRS crystal, who fought throughout her career to promote the place of women in the world of research and science in general.
