The launch of the Science4Reefs Foundation

On December 11, 2023, at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, the Science4Reefs Foundation was launched under the aegis of the CNRS Foundation, in the presence of the 4 founders, Laetitia Hédouin, Serge Planes, Laurent Ritter and Pete West, as well as the President of the CNRS Foundation, Antoine Petit.

This foundation, which has just celebrated its creation, is dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of coral reefs by supporting research and development projects. long-term scientific themes. Its mission is also to promote a better understanding of coral reefs in the Anthropocene era, and to create a Science-Policy Interface for coral reefs to inform decision-making choices in national and international policies to safeguard reef biodiversity.
