CNRS Foundation to endow two GDRV 2022 prizes

The CNRS Foundation supports research into vertigo.

The Groupement de Recherche Physiopathologie Vestibulaire or GDR Vertige was created in 2015 on the initiative of Dr Christian Chabbert (Sensory and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, Marseille) with the aim of bringing together the multidisciplinary components of the otoneurology community (the field of study and treatment of balance and vertigo disorders) and encouraging exchanges and collaborations on scientific and clinical projects.

In 2022, the GDR’s committee of scientific and clinical experts has decided to reward 2 research projects.

Thanks to the funds raised for this topic since May 2021, the CNRS Foundation will endow the two 2022 prizes:

  • The “1st Prize” awarded to Souad HAIJOUB, Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist in Paris, for her project: Rehabilitation of the Subjective Visual Vertical in vestibular pathology.
  • The “2nd prize” was awarded to Dr Robin Mom, affiliated with the Laboratoire de Biologie et de Modélisation de la Cellule at ENS Lyon, for his project: Modulation of membrane permeability by a direct interaction between corticosteroids and aquaporins for better management of auditory physiopathologies.

Every donation is important and helps support the work of CNRS laboratories.
