On Thursday, July 7, 2022, the CNRS Foundation organized its first ” The Foundation celebrates its foundations under aegis ” event to present its missions, its sheltered foundations (Rescue Ocean, Geomanum and the 2100 Foundation) and its ecosystem. The event brought together players from existing and planned foundations to present their values and missions.
On this occasion, the Foundation also welcomed two new foundations under its aegis, with the official signing of their founding agreements:
1 Ocean and Owntech
The mission of the 1 Ocean Foundation is to produce content that popularizes scientific research on the subject of oceans and marine environments. “Exploring the unexplored, telling the story of the Ocean to as many people as possible and thus raising awareness of its protection.”
The OwnTech Foundation’ s mission is to create a community space around an “open source” technological community aimed at democratizing access to power electronics, a technology at the heart of the electrification of society that is essential to the energy transition.
A cocktail party brought the evening to a close, where guests were able to continue their discussions and create new synergies.
