Suzanne Bella Srodogora 2023 prize awarded to Véronique Puill

Le Suzanne Bella Srodogora Prize of the CNRS Foundation, for the 2023 edition, has been awarded to Véronique Puill of the 2 Infinities Physics Laboratory – IJCLab (CNRS – Université Paris SaclayUniversité Paris Cité). The jury is chaired by Élisabeth Kohler, Director of the Mission pour la Place Des Femmes at the CNRS.

The award was presented to Véronique Puill by Michel Mortier, Managing Director of the CNRS Foundationduring a lively and convivial ceremony at the IJCLab laboratory on June 3, 2024, on the occasion of a half-day dedicated to women in research.

At this event, women working in the laboratory presented their career paths in the technical, administrative or scientific fields.

The laboratory also invited secondary school students from the Lycée de l’Essouriau to come and discover the world of scientific research.

The prize was created by the CNRS Foundation in memory of Suzanne Bella Srodogora, the first woman to win a CNRS crystal medal. CNRS CRYSTAL MEDALCrystal Medal, who fought throughout her career to promote the place of women in the world of research and science in general.
