Radio France welcomes Françoise Gaill, biologist and oceanographer specializing in deep-sea ecosystems and adaptation to extreme environments, Director of Emeritus Research at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) and founder of theOcean Sustainability Foundation under the aegis of the CNRS Foundation.
The foundation was created to support the initiative of the International Panel for a Sustainable Ocean. Its mission is to support actions related to the protection of marine and ocean environments. The IPOS project is proposed as a coordination mechanism for integrating knowledge systems to bridge the gap between ocean science and policy, in preparation for the United Nations Conference on the Oceans 2025 in Nice (UNOC 2025).
