Etienne Meunier, Director of Research in Cell Biology at the Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology (IPBS) in Toulouse, specializes in host-pathogen interactions.
It studies the mechanisms of action of inflammasomes, intracellular protein complexes that play a major role in host immunity to microbial pathogens, to develop next-generation therapies for respiratory infections. The knowledge generated in this project could also be applied to viral infections beyond respiratory viruses.
In partnership with the Solvay Solidarity Fund, the Foundation supports Etienne Meunier’s work at the IPBS.
