Hosted by Spain and co-organized with UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC/UNESCO), the United Nations Decade of the Ocean 2024 Conference took place from April 10 to 12, 2024 in the city of Barcelona.
As part of this event, the Ocean Sustainability Foundation, under the aegis of the CNRS Foundation, organized an IPOS workshopentitled “Shaping IPOS: Southern perspectives on the science-policy interface” at the Barcelona Institute of Marine Sciences. The aim was to gather valuable information and perspectives from transdisciplinary experts (scientists, practitioners and decision-makers), mainly from the South, for a better interface between ocean knowledge and political action.
