Manifesto

Our vision

Focused on its mission to fund research and the development of knowledge, the CNRS Foundation places the challenges of society for a sustainable world, and the conservation of life on earth, at the heart of its concerns. It cannot finance actions that run counter to these goals.

The CNRS Foundation benefits from the multidisciplinary expertise of the CNRS and its research staff. In this way, it has access to the latest knowledge in all areas of research, and can best guide its donors in their desire to support these causes.

The CNRS Foundation can draw on the advice of the CNRS Ethics Committee. As an independent organization, the CNRS Foundation does not use the funds it collects to finance so-called animation or coalition structures, or any other scheme that aims to exist for its own sake, with no proven added value in terms of defending its stated causes.

The CNRS Foundation team supports scientific projects in a spirit of service and responsiveness. The team brings its expertise to foundations sheltered by the CNRS Foundation.

The CNRS Foundation is keen to keep its operating costs low, and operates with restraint in its compulsory overheads (bank, insurance, accounting, statutory auditors, etc.).
