Manifesto

Our vision

Concentrating on its mission to fund research and the development of knowledge, the CNRS Foundation places a sustainable world and the conservation of life on earth at the heart of its concerns. It cannot finance actions that run counter to these goals.

The CNRS Foundation:

  • Benefits from the multidisciplinary expertise of the CNRS and its research staff. It thus has access to the most recent knowledge in all areas of research and can best guide its donors in their desire to support the cause they advocate.
  • Can draw on the advice of the CNRS Ethics Committee. As an independent organisation, the CNRS Foundation does not use the funds raised to finance so-called leadership structures, coalitions or any other mechanism that aims to exist for its own sake without any proven added value in terms of defending its stated causes.
  • The CNRS Foundation team supports the scientific projects in a spirit of service and responsiveness. The team shares its expertise with the foundations hosted by the CNRS Foundation.
  • Is keen to keep its operating costs low and is careful to limit its mandatory overheads (bank, insurance, accounting, statutory auditors, etc.).
