Bequests and donations

By making a bequest or donation to Fondation CNRS, you can ensure long-term funding for free, long-term research, and contribute to the development of knowledge and the advancement of science.

Tax benefits

The withholding tax implemented in January 2019 preserves your tax benefits. The CNRS Foundation
is authorized to receive bequests, donations, usufructs and life insurance policies free of inheritance tax.

Donations to the CNRS Foundation are tax-deductible:

66%

of the amount of the donation, up to a maximum of 20% of taxable income if subject to income tax (IR)

75%

of the amount of the donation, up to a limit of €50,000, if it is made in respect of the IFI (tax on real estate wealth)
