CNRS Gold Medal endowment

Starting this year, the CNRS Foundation is endowing the CNRS Gold Medal with a prize of 50,000 euros.

Chemist Jean-Marie Tarascon, the 2022 winner, will receive the award at the solemn Gold Medal ceremony on December 14.

The researcher, now a professor at the Collège de France, has worked for over 25 years in laboratories associated with the CNRS. He is being rewarded for his work on “new lithium-related reaction concepts, the synthesis of new electrode materials and electrolytes for batteries, and the design of novel batteries”.
