Microexplo project presentation
The CNRS Foundation supports the creation of the Microexplo laboratory, a collaborative structure dedicated to exploring techniques for controlling and measuring the physico-chemical properties of the cellular environment, enabling the manufacture of biomimetic organs-on-a-chip.
Interview with Ilham Kadri, Solvay CEO
Ilham Kadri is CEO of Solvay, a Belgian industrial chemicals group whose scientific collaboration with the CNRS goes back forty-five years. It was therefore natural for her to join the Board of Directors of the CNRS Foundation when it was created. Today, she talks about her commitment to the Foundation.
Defeating viruses by targeting metabolism and antiviral immunity
The VIRIMI team, which stands for “Viral Infections, Metabolism and Immunity”, has been supported by the CNRS Foundation for the past two years. This team is interested in how viruses hijack the metabolism of the cells they infect to meet their needs for energy and the molecular building blocks essential to their multiplication.
The CNRS Foundation partners with Friends of Fondation de France
By becoming a partner of Friends of Fondation de France on March 17, 2022, the CNRS Foundation intends to expand its network of donors across the Atlantic, drawing in particular on the presence of CNRS laboratories and a permanent office.
Covid-19 and social distancing: subjective time and socio-cognitive regulation of risk behavior
LAPSCO and CeRCA, under the coordination of Sylvie Droit-Volet and Pascal Huguet, have joined forces at Covid-19 time to conduct a series of surveys on the impact of the epidemic on individual behavior. An initiative supported by the CNRS Foundation.
The CNRS Foundation’s commitment to biodiversity
Climate and environmental issues are at the heart of today’s debates and concerns. Rising temperatures, soil and air pollution and the disruption of ecosystems are causing serious, irreversible changes. As a result, safeguarding biodiversity is becoming a key issue, and one that politicians are addressing through scientific research. It goes without saying that the CNRS Foundation is involved in these initiatives and supports biodiversity-related research projects.
