His research has led him to study alternative methods for stimulating organ growth, and to focus on children born with limbs that are too short (a phenomenon known as hypoplasia), who could benefit directly from the fruits of his experiments. These rare pathologies are impossible to treat and severely handicap patients in their daily lives.
