A prize in keeping with her career path, resolutely oriented towards supporting scientific research. <\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Suzanne Bella Srodogora was the first woman to be awarded the CNRS crystal, and has fought throughout her career to promote the place of women in the world of research and science in general.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Each year, the prize will award a sum, determined according to the fund&#8217;s endowment, to a woman engineer administrative technician (ITA) who has won a CNRS crystal from among the winners of the last three years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Suzanne Srodogora was the embodiment of a great administrative career, resolutely dedicated to research staff and a radiant personality.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-02d62418-7fff-525e-951e-461ab40a01b6\">Leaving high school without a diploma, but with a year&#8217;s experience in the American school system, in 1968 she found her first job in the world of science, which attracted her by its openness. Her familiarity with this stimulating environment encouraged her to go back to school and obtain a DEA (post-graduate diploma) at Paris VII, before embarking on a career in research, from which she rose through the ranks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipgp.fr\/\"><strong>Institut de Physique du Globe<\/strong><\/a>from secretary to manager. She then moved into the life sciences, joining the Institut Jacques Monod, where she became General Secretary. She then moved into the human and social sciences, becoming General Secretary of the SHS (Human and Social Sciences) Department of the CNRS. In 1992, she was one of the first recipients of the &#8220;Cristal du CNRS&#8221; award for her work at the CNRS.   <\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Her knowledge of all the major scientific fields, and her commitment and imagination in both management and communications, led her to take up positions of responsibility in the cabinets of two ministers of research and higher education from 1997 onwards, and then in the departments of the \u00cele-de-France Region, where she ended her public career in 2015, the year she was made a Chevali\u00e8re de la L\u00e9gion d&#8217;Honneur, as Deputy Director General of Services in charge of the Development Unit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">She will continue her active life as Major Projects Advisor at the Institut de la Vision and Innovation Manager at EIT Health France.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In all these positions, whether in the field or at strategic level, her commitment has always been focused on achieving the major objectives that were dear to her heart: parity, promoting the work of women in science, links between research and business, and improving working conditions for all staff.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Establishment of the Suzanne Bella Srodogora Prize (September 25, 1949 &#8211; May 12, 2019) by the CNRS Foundation<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":13808,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[73],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-14163","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archives-en"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.9 (Yoast SEO v25.9) -
